Astrugglingmusician,Paul,spendsmostofhistimeathome,steadilybecomingintrovertedandmoody,whileRamona,attheinsistenceofaco-worker,isthrustintoanewsocialcircle,whereshebeginsanaffairwithaco-worker.RamonaandPaul’srelationshipimplodesaftersheconfessesandintheensuingconflict,sheimpulsivelyleavestostaywithafriend.Paul,desperatetoworkthroughthepainofthesplit,befriendsaquirkybaristanamedAli.Thisfriendshipgiveshimachancetobegintohealandinspireshimtofocusonexpressionthroughhismusic.
